The Wilcox family has grown vegetables in the Pukekohe area of New
Zealand since the early 1930’s. In 1954 A S Wilcox and Sons
Limited was incorporated growing and marketing potatoes and onions.
Today a third generation of the Wilcox family are actively involved
in the business.

Kevin Wilcox
Director
Kevin was born in Pukekohe in 1963. After attending school in Pukekohe
Kevin joined the Company in 1980 and through the years has worked
in various divisions. He now holds the position of Managing Director.
He is actively involved in the local Growers Association and is Sector
Rep. within Horticulture NZ.
Glen Wilcox
Director
Was born in Pukekohe in 1961 and educated at the local High School.
After some years working in the growing and packing sides of the company
he became responsible for the workshop, transport and farm machinery
maintenance and replacement and has been the driving force behind
a number of new building projects.
Brent Wilcox
Director
Was born in Pukekohe in 1960 and attended the local schools. He continued
his education at Massey University gaining a degree in Hoticultural
Science. In his current role Brent oversees the onion and carrot production
programs for the company. This involves planning and co-ordinating
export volumes with Southern Fresh and servicing doestic requirements.
John Wilcox
Director
John was born in Pukekohe in 1963. After attending Pukekohe High School
John went on to Lincoln University and Teachers Training College.
After a period of Secondary school teaching he joined the company
in 1994. His area of responsibility is currently in pack house management.
Ross Wilcox
Ross was born in Pukekohe in 1939. After
completing his secondary schooling he joined the family market gardening
business and eventually became responsible for main crop potato supply
in the Waikato and Ohakune regions.
Alexander Wilcox (Lex)
Lex was born in Pukekohe in 1933 and worked
for his father's market gardening business, A S Wilcox and Sons. In
1965 he was appointed Chairman and Director. Following his father's
footsteps. he became active in the New Zealand Vegetable Growers'
Federation and following 30 years of service at national level was
awarded Life Membership of that association and of the Pukekohe Vegetable
Growers Association.
Henry Wilcox
Henry was born in Pukekohe in 1937. After
attending Fielding Agricultural College he joined his father's market
gardening business, A S Wilcox and Sons, responsible for national
sales and marketing. Henry and his brothers Lex and Ross are active
Directors of the company today. |
